Subscription Help
How are subscriptions managed?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID / App Store account. You can view, cancel, or change your plan from iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
How do I restore my subscription?
Open UV Dial, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Location permission
UV Index Dial uses your location to fetch local UV index and weather conditions. In iOS Settings, open UV Dial > Location and choose "While Using the App." Location is used for local forecasts and is not stored by BTS Innovations LLC.
UV forecast not loading
Check that location permission is enabled, your internet connection is active, and Low Data Mode or VPN settings are not blocking forecast requests. UV Index Dial uses Apple Weather / WeatherKit for local UV and weather data.
Widget not updating
Open the main app to refresh your latest UV data, confirm location permission is enabled, and make sure Background App Refresh is allowed for UV Dial. iOS controls how frequently widgets refresh, so updates may not be instant.
Apple Watch sync
Keep your iPhone and Apple Watch near each other, confirm both apps are installed, and open UV Dial on iPhone once after purchase or restore. Watch subscription and timer status may take a short time to sync through Apple's Watch connectivity system.
Sunscreen timer reminders
Allow notifications for UV Dial in iOS Settings > Notifications. If reminders are not appearing, open the app, start a new sunscreen timer, and check Focus mode or notification summary settings that may delay alerts.
Privacy summary
UV Index Dial does not require an account and does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. Most settings and timer data stay on your device. Location is used to request local UV/weather data through Apple Weather / WeatherKit, purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit, and optional HealthKit features use Apple's permission system. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Educational disclaimer
UV Index Dial is an educational sun safety tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose medical conditions, or replace guidance from a qualified healthcare professional. UV index, burn risk, and sunscreen guidance are estimates and may vary based on conditions, skin type, sunscreen application, water, sweat, reflection, altitude, medications, and other factors.
What devices are supported?
UV Dial requires iOS 26 or later. Sun Scout AI uses Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models where available. The companion Apple Watch app requires watchOS 26.
